What happens when a device leaves/enters a geofenced area?

Triggered actions are assigned based on specific conditions being met.

The geofence feature can be triggered in three different ways: when entering an area, when leaving an area, or with a delayed trigger when remaining inside the area.

  • When entering an area, the geofence is triggered once the device crosses the boundary and is inside the designated area.
  • When leaving an area, the geofence is triggered once the device crosses the boundary and is outside the designated area.
  • With the delayed trigger, also known as "Dwell," the geofence is triggered once the device crosses the boundary and remains inside the area for a certain period of time. This feature allows you to set a specific "Time to wait" option to determine how long the device needs to stay inside the geofence before the event is triggered. The minimum value for this parameter is one (1) minute.
